Whilst I work on the Duke University courses, I have been looking into taking another course. The course I have been looking into taking is the Compilers course offered free online from Stanford University’s Lagunita. This course is a similar style of course to Stanford University Lagunita Computer Science 101, the review of which you can find by clicking on “Computer Science 101”.

I have chosen to take this course as I have been wondering what it is that compilers do at a deeper level than just, “Oh, it checks to make sure my code runs”. The more computer science courses I take, the more I realize I do not know. This is why I am seeking out courses to fill in the gaps that I can easily recognize that I have. The Stanford Lagunita course seems perfect for filling in the gap I have on compilers.

Thank you for reading!
